SWAN's Mobile Outreach Van distributes harm reduction and safer use supplies to people in the Greater New Haven area, free of charge.
SWAN’s commitment to harm reduction means we try to meet people’s most pressing needs without standing in judgment of their choices. The support and supplies you receive are entirely up to you.
The outreach team provides referrals to partner organizations that provide support with housing, food, clothes, medical care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, legal advocacy, re-entry support, LGBTQIA+ support, and immigration support.

Monday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am – 12:00pm, 3:00 – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Thursday: 7:00am – 12:00pm, 3:00 – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm

Supplies are subject to availability. For harm reduction supplies, you will be required to fill out a brief confidential intake form.

- Narcan®/Naloxone – opioid overdose reversal kit
- Clean syringes and disposal of used syringes
- Safer sex supplies – Condom, dental dams, lube
- Fentanyl test strips
- Cook kits
- Safer smoking kits
- Tourniquets
- Alcohol and BZK pads
- Triple antibiotic ointment packets
- Bandaids
Survival and hygiene supplies:
- Hand sanitizer
- Masks
- Shampoo, conditioner, soap
- Deodorant
- Body wipes
- Chapstick and lotion
- Snacks and water
- Hand warmers (seasonal)
- Coats, hats, gloves, blankets (seasonal)
